Meet at 8:30 am at De Anza Cove in Mission Bay Park for this 51 mi ride along the coast to La Costa Ave, inland thru RSF & Encinitas, then back to the coast with a snack stop at Java Depot. Joint ride with SD Wheelmen. Leader: Myles Pomeroy, 858-565-7262.

ENCINITAS AND THE COAST
Difficulty Rating: 21 to 35 mi, rolling hills, 10-12 mph average pace.
Meet at 9 am at the Carmel Valley Community Center, 3777 Townsgate Drive, across the street from the Del Mar Highlands Shopping Center, 1/2 mi E of I-5. We will ride up to Quail Gardens Drive in Encinitas and return via the Coast stopping at Java Depot for coffee. This will be a socially paced ride and should be a fun summer ride. COAST RIDE – OCEANSIDE TO SORRENTO VALLEY
Difficulty Rating: 21 to 35 mi, rolling hills, 10-12 mph average pace.
This is a relatively flat 25 mi ride along our beautiful coast. Most participants will drive to the Sorrento Valley Coaster Station (free parking in the north and south lots, contact me for details) arriving at about 10:00 am to provide enough time to take the #639 Coaster north-bound at 10:14 am which arrives at the Oceanside Transit Center at 10:50 am. For a shorter ride you could hop on the Coaster at Solana Beach or Encinitas. Meet at 10:51 am track-side at the Oceanside Transit Center. Stop for lunch along the way. SOLANA BEACH EXPRESS RIDE
Difficulty Rating: over 35 mi, rolling hills, 12-14 mph average pace.
Meet at 8:45 am at the Solana Beach train station on Cedros Ave at the northern end of the parking lot. This 49 mi route starts out heading south along the coast towards the 56 bike path, riding through Carmel Valley, 4S Ranch, RSF, Olivenhain, and Leucadia with a coastal return. It’s a scenic ride with lots of rolling hills and a couple exhilarating downhills. There will be regroups, a break at Ranch Market in Rancho Santa Fe, and a possible additional break as needed. Meet at 8:30 am in the Souplantation parking lot in Carmel Valley (3804 Valley Centre Dr, SD, 92130). Explore Carmel Valley to loop around briefly inland towards the coast to Oceanside and back along Hwy 101. Expect ~ 50 mi, moderate rolling hills, few regroups, and a brief ‘commercial’ snack stop towards the end of the ride. Leader: Dawn Nowlin, 858-254-8171.
