SCULPTURES IN DEL MAR RIDE
Difficulty Rating: 21 to 35 mi, rolling hills, 10-12 mph average pace.
Meet at 8:30 am in parking lot north of the Mission Bay Beach Club (formerly, the Mission Bay Visitors Center) for a <30 mi ride up to Del Mar and back to view the sculptures along the public easement between Ocean View Ave. and Camino Del Mar. 75TH SIERRA CLUB ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATING RIDE
Difficulty Rating: 14 to 20 mi, rolling hills, 10-12 mph average pace.
Let’s meet at 8:30 am in front of the San Dieguito Park entrance gate for a vigorous 15 mi ride and come back in time to help our San Diego chapter to celebrate the club 75 years of environmental accomplishments. The celebration includes demonstrations, historical displays, guest speakers and lunch. A catered lunch is available for $20, see https://sandiegosierraclub.org for more details. We will ride along the San Elijo Lagoon and catch some ocean breeze before heading back to the park. Bring your good working bike, water, helmet, spare tube, pump and patch kit. SIERRA CLUB 75TH ANNIVERSARY RIDE
Difficulty Rating: 21 to 35 mi, moderate hills, 12-14 mph average pace.
Meet at 8:45 am at Carmel Valley Community Center (3777 Townsgate Dr.) for a scenic 30 mi ride through Rancho SF and Encinitas with a stopover at San Dieguito County Park to help celebrate the Sierra Club’s 75th Anniversary. The celebration includes demonstrations, historical displays and guest speakers. A catered lunch is available for $20. See https://sandiegosierraclub.org for more details. However, the ride leader does not plan to stay for lunch. Ride participants are welcome to stay for lunch if they wish but will need to sign off the ride and will be on their own from that point.
