This short 12 mi ride goes slowly up the 400 foot high Torrey Pines Hill on the newly paved and striped bike lane, visits the tilted UC San Diego Stuart Collection Fallen Star House, and then it is all downhill to Sorrento Valley on the new bike path and bridge over Genesee Avenue. Meet in parking lot on the east side of the Coaster tracks at 10:15 am (free parking), we should be back to Sorrento Valley by about noon. Anyone for lunch near the Coaster Station? MIRACOSTA JR EXPRESS RIDE
Difficulty Rating: over 35 mi, rolling hills, 12-14 mph average pace.
Meet at 8:30 am at MiraCosta College campus in Cardiff located at 3333 Manchester Ave in the lower parking lot next to Manchester Ave for a 37 mi route that includes Rancho Santa Fe, Carlsbad, and a coastal return. SOLANA BEACH TO CARLSBAD JUNIOR EXPRESS

Meet at 8:45 am in north parking lot of the Solana Beach Coaster station (105 N. Cedros Ave) for this 44 mi peppy ride along the coast to Carlsbad. We’ll do some inland loops as temperature permits and end the ride with a coastal snack stop. Bring plenty of water, snacks, money and required helmet. COAST RIDE – OCEANSIDE TO SORRENTO VALLEY
Difficulty Rating: 21 to 35 mi, rolling hills, 10-12 mph average pace.
This relatively flat 25 mi ride starts at 10:50 am track-side of the Coaster at the Oceanside Transit Center and ends at the Sorrento Valley Coaster Station at around 1:45 pm. Most participants will drive to the Sorrento Valley Coaster Station (free parking) arriving at about 9:50 am to provide enough time to take Coaster #639 north-bound at 10:09 am which arrives at the Oceanside Transit Center at 10:43 am.
