COMMUNITY-WINERY EXPRESS RIDE
Difficulty Rating: over 35 mi, moderate hills, 12-14 mph average pace.
Meet at 8:30 am at the Sorrento Valley Park-n-Ride (WQJ5+C6 San Diego, California; Carmel Valley Rd under 56/5 Fwy interchange). Note daylight savings time change for an extra hour of sleep! We’ll do ~ 48 mi of rolling hills with at least 2300 feet of climbing as we meander to a stop at the Rancho Bernardo Winery. Return path is along the 56 bike path. SOUTH COUNTY OTAY LAKES JUNIOR EXPRESS RIDE
Difficulty Rating: over 35 mi, moderate hills, 12-14 mph average pace.
Meet at 8:45 am at Pepper Park in National City (I-5 to Bay Marina Dr., right onto Bay Marina Dr., then left at Marina Way, right at bend at marina, left into pkg lot. These turns are very quick.) for a 35 mi Junior Express ride to Otay Lakes. Some segments on busy roads and others on new roads with very little traffic. About 1,700 feet of climbing.
